1 | teaspoon | Vanilla Extract |
1 | piece | egg, beaten for egg wash |

Step 1 | Combine all purpose flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter and combine until mixed well. Add in eggs and cold water and mix well to form a dough. Wrap with plastic wrap and set aside. (10 mins) |
Step 2 | For the filling, simmer purple yam until very tender. Set aside to cool completely. (30 mins) |
Step 3 | Finely grate purple yam and place in pan. Add butter, NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream, NESTLÉ® Carnation® Condensada, evaporated milk and vanilla extract and cooked until thick. Set aside to cool. (20 mins) |
Step 4 | Preheat oven at 325ᴼF. (20 mins) |
Step 5 | Flattened dough using a rolling pin. Cut with a 5-inch round cutter, put filling inside, fold and seal. Brush with egg wash and bake for 10 – 15 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly before serving. (40 mins) |
