Step 1 | Mix the warm water, 1 tbsp sugar and yeast in a container. Set aside for 5 minutes. |
Step 2 | Combine flour, 3 tbsp sugar and salt in a large bowl. Pour yeast mixture, ½ cup NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream and egg. Mix until a rough dough is formed. Add butter and knead until dough is smooth. Place back in the same big bowl. Cover and set aside to proof for 1 hour. (1h 20mins) |
Step 3 | Pre – heat oven to 350ᴼF. (30 mins) |
Step 4 | For the filling, mix egg yolks, NESTLÉ® Carnation® Condensada, ½ cup NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream and vanilla in a pot. Mix well with a spatula and cook over low heat until thick. Stir in butter. Transfer into a bowl and set aside. (20 mins) |
Step 5 | Divide the dough into 30 pieces. Roll into a ball, flatten each piece and stuff with filling. Seal and place buns into a greased baking sheet. (20 mins) |
Step 6 | Bake for 15 minutes. Set aside Pastel Buns in a cooling rack for 10 minutes before serving. (30 mins) |
