500 | grams | bacon, chopped |
1 | cup | small onion, chopped |
1/2 | cup | chopped celery |
6 | packages | NESTLÉ® Fresh Milk |
1 | packet | NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream, 250mL |
1/2 | teaspoon | Turmeric or Luyang Dilaw |
1 | tablespoon | corn meal |
1 | can | creamed corn |
2 | cans | whole kernel corn |
4 | sachets | MAGGI® Magic Sarap® 8g |
1 | teaspoon | Pepper |
1 | cup | grated Cheddar cheese |
Step 1 | Fry bacon until crisp. Set aside and reserve bacon fat. |
Step 2 | In a stockpot, sauté; onions and celery in hot bacon fat until soft and fragrant. Pour in milk and NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream. Add turmeric and corn meal and stir until slightly thickened. |
Step 3 | Add creamed corn and corn kernels. Season with AGGI® Magic Sarap® and pepper and cook for 5 minutes more. |
Step 4 | Add cheddar cheese and stir until melted. Top with fried bacon just before serving. |
